Easter Morning

I found myself standing in front of a dark, closed door. I had been searching for a way out of this dark and hopeless place for a long time, but every door I came across was either locked tight or leading to an even darker place. Suddenly, from around the border of the door came a light and a voice calling! A voice like I had never heard before, pierced to the depths of my aching heart. It was the voice of the Savior! The one and only way, Jesus Christ! He was inviting me to come out of my darkness and into the eternal blessings of his everlasting light! As I stepped through the door, I felt the weight of sin lift from my shoulders and a sense of peace and joy swept over me as a wave sweeps over the sand. A new love fills my heart.

There have been times when I have made the mistake of looking back, but all I see is the closed door, no light shining, only darkness, no more than a symbol of an old life left behind.

I am now in a new place, with new possibilities and new hope! This is the goodness of Jesus in His resurrection – the power to bring us out of darkness and into the light of a new life in Him.
