Is Jesus In Your Room? Part 8

“For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

John 3:17

Jesus came into the world to save lost sinners, not the already righteous or those on their way to heaven. He left the glories of heaven to seek and save the lost, and we are all lost without Him.

This statement would have been a shock to Nicodemus, who was likely taught that the Messiah would come to condemn the gentiles and the heathen. However, Jesus came to bring salvation to everyone who believes, whether Jew or Greek.

As it says in Romans 1:16, salvation is for everyone who believes, with the Jews having priority but the Gentiles also being included. This is the message of salvation that Jesus came to bring, and it is available to all who place their complete trust and faith in Him as their Lord and Savior.

As we look back over the past forty-one books of the Bible, we see that the Lord made a promise to our father Abraham in the land of Haran. The promise was that “in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 12:1-3).

It seems that Nicodemus may have missed this promise, as he was likely taught to believe that salvation was only for the Jews. However, the promise to Abraham was a foreshadowing of the salvation that would come through Jesus Christ, not only for the Jews but for all the families of the earth.

As we read and study the Bible, let us not miss the promises and messages that God has given us throughout its pages. Let us open our hearts and minds to the truth of God’s word and the salvation that is available to all who believe in Jesus Christ.

“Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”

John 3:18

When Jesus came into the world the first time, He did not come to condemn the lost, but rather to seek and to save them. This is the greatest news ever told! He did not come to condemn us because we were already condemned. Nicodemus, you read that right. You and all of us stand condemned because of our sins. The gavel has dropped, and we have been declared guilty.

The key to understanding this truth is found in verse 18 of John chapter 3. Those who do not believe in Jesus have already been condemned. The gavel has already dropped, and we are guilty before God. The only way to reverse this verdict is to believe in the only Son of God, Jesus Christ.

This is the message that Jesus came to bring, and it is available to all who put their faith and trust in Him. He came to save us from our sins and to offer us eternal life with Him. Let us turn to Him in faith and find salvation and forgiveness for our sins.

Those who believe will be saved. (John 5:24; Rom 8:1, 33-34; Ps 32:1-2)

Those who do not believe have been condemned already. (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Tim 2:5)

The answer Nicodemus is sitting right beside you. He is in the room with you! Repent of your apostate religion (any religion other than biblical Christianity) and believe!

In Him, with love,

mike

“..if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
